The short version: signed out, your conversations stay in your own browser; signed in, they sync to your account so your devices agree. ZIRI does not sell data, and there are no advertising trackers on this site.
The data controller is ZIRI AI Ltd., a company registered in England and Wales, based in Canary Wharf, London, United Kingdom. For anything on this page, write to [email protected].
Your preferences — theme, accent colour, language, model choice, personalisation — are written to your browser's local storage, and so is your chat history while you are signed out. None of that is uploaded. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently, and ZIRI cannot recover it for you.
If you sign in, your conversations (their titles and messages), your profile details and your memory notes are stored on ZIRI's backend so the same history reaches your other devices. Deleting a conversation in the app deletes it there too, and clearing all chats clears the account copy as well. Memory is off by default and only syncs once you turn it on; you can read, edit and delete every note from the Memory screen.
When you ask about something you said before ("what did I tell you last time…"), ZIRI searches your own earlier conversations and puts the matching passages into that one request, so it can answer from what was actually said. The search runs in your browser over the history already stored there; if you are signed in, it may also look up matching messages in your own account. It only ever reaches your own conversations, never anyone else's, and incognito chats are neither searched nor searchable.
When you send a message, the message and the relevant part of the current conversation are sent to ZIRI, where a ZIRI model generates the reply. This is the only way the assistant can answer. Requests are sent over HTTPS.
ZIRI is told the rough area your connection appears to be in — city, region, country and time zone — so it can be right about local time, distances, currency and what "here" means in a question. This is derived from your IP address by Cloudflare, which already sees it in order to serve the page.
Only those four coarse fields are used. Your IP address itself is never passed to the model, no coordinates or postcode are used, nothing is written to disk or to your account, and it is looked up fresh each time you open the page. It is never used in incognito chats. You can turn it off in Settings → General → Location, and ZIRI will simply stop being told.
An account is optional, and it does two things: it keeps your history in sync across devices, and it is what opens ZIRI Ultra and ZIRI Verse. If you create one, an email address and authentication record are stored so you can sign in. There is nothing to pay for at the moment, so no payment or card details are collected at all. If paid plans are introduced, payment will be handled by a payment processor and ZIRI will never receive or store your card number.
Conversations started in incognito mode are not written to local history, never sync to your account, contribute nothing to memory, and are not used to personalise later replies. The message still has to reach a model to be answered.
The hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request metadata such as IP address, timestamp, and user agent for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not used to build a profile of you.
ZIRI relies on Cloudflare for hosting and delivery. Beyond that, a small number of infrastructure providers handle storage and compute on ZIRI's behalf. They act only on ZIRI's instructions and under contract, and none of them is permitted to use your conversations for their own purposes. We do not sell data, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to how it is processed, or withdraw consent. Most of it you can do yourself: clear your history, edit or delete memory notes, and turn memory off, all from within the app. For anything else — including deleting an account outright — email [email protected]. If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
ZIRI AI is not available in South Korea and does not serve Korean-language users. Korean is not a supported language: ZIRI neither reads nor writes it, and a message written in Korean is declined rather than answered.
ZIRI is not intended for use by anyone under 13.
